| The major focus of research has been on Epidemiology of Asthma and Allergic Rhinitis, including the prevalence, secular trends over the last ten years, testing the hygiene hypothesis. The other important areas of research has been various pharmacologic interventions including inhaled steroids, immunotherapy in allergic rhinitis and asthma, Health related Quality of Life studies in asthma and compliance. Food allergy has been an important focus as well with studies on lectins, prevalence of food allergy, intolerance and oral allergy syndrome to common foods. Autoimmune chronic urticarias, autologous serum testing, response to treatment are also important areas of interest. |
